Amazing sights & sounds from the French countrysideIn the summer, this paddock (left) is covered with tall grass and you have to hack a path to the river for a swim... on Christmas Day it was a sheet of ice, thick enough to walk across and the edges of the river had slowed to a slurry of crystals...
the local lama, with pretty blue eyes that don't show in the photo...and my boyfriend with big muscles...
